Define Verb and its kinds.

1. Verb:
   The verb is a word which says something about the activity, action or state of subject. It occupies central position in a sentence because it is a word by which we say something about a subject.
   For examples:
   1.       She is plucking the beautiful flowers.
   2.       John sang a sweet song in the musical concert yesterday.
   3.       He is knocking at the door.
   Kinds of Verb:
   A verb which requires an object, in a sentence is called a transitive verb. In a transitive verb, the action is doesn’t stop with the doer but passes from the doer (subject) to the object.
   For examples:
   1.       The teacher has punished the naughty boy.
   2.       The hunter is killing the dangerous lion.
   3.       He hates bad boys.
   4.       We love our country.
   Intransitive Verb:
   It is a verb which doesn’t require an object in a sentence is called an intransitive verb. In the transitive verb the action stops with the doer.
   For examples:
   1.       Carrots grow in winter.
   2.       The bell rang.
   3.       The sticks are burning.
   4.       The lions were roaring.
   
   
   Auxiliary Verbs or Helping verb:
   It is a verb which is used to help the principal verb to make the meanings clear. It is also called linking verb as it links the subject to its predicate.
   Some important Auxiliary or Helping verbs are:
   Is, am, are, was, were, has, have, had, can, shall, would, should, must, could, may, might, do, does, did etc.
   For examples:
   1.       They have invited us to tea.
   2.       The teacher was delivering a lecture.
   3.       I will help my friends through thick a thin.
   Some important Auxiliary or Helping verbs can also be used as full verb.
   For examples:
   1.       They did their duty honestly.
   2.       She is a good player of tennis.
   3.       I have a horse which runs very fast.
